JAZZ LIVE is a non-profit organization (Obcanske Sdruzeni ICO:26670968) founded by Karel Koblizka. Karel promotes Jazz Live concerts held monthly in the Restaurant/Hotel Palcat in Tabor. Past shows featured George Mraz, The Gondolan Band, Eva Emingerova and Latin Trio, Vlasta Pruchova, Jana Koubkova Quartet, Toto Blanke & Rudolf Dasek, Yvone Sanchez, Lada Kerndl and many others top European and World jazz artists. These pages will be bringing you articles about history of Jazz, news about the current happenings in jazz from around the world, news about Jazz artists who played or will play for us in Tabor and much, much more....including info-bits about the man and the "engine" behind JAZZ LIVE in Tabor - the Promoter Extraordinaire, Karel "Charlie" Koblizka.

Jazz Live in Tabor, organizes and from the most part financially supports JAZZ
LIVE's activity and existence. Karel "Charles" Koblizka is an accomplished
guitarist and saxophone player. Many will remember him as a member of the
big-beat group "Kings". In
the following picture, Karel Koblizka
is presenting an acknowledgement to George Mraz during his concert in
Jazz Live Tabor. George Mraz played in Tabor with his Trio on March 28th, 2004.
After his sold out performance in Jazz Live on April 18th, 2003, this was his
second performance in Tabor. George Mraz, who lives in New York City, was born
in the Czech Republic and became one of the best bass players in the world
playing with jazz greats like Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock, Carmen McRae, Stan
Goetz, Oscar Peterson, Tommy Flanagan and many others. We will write much more
