Press Release: George (Jiri) Mraz (USA) recently performed in the Prague Castle for the President of Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus. The president is a great fan of jazz music and has invited George Mraz in the celebration of G.M.'s 60th birthday. Present was also Karel Koblizka, promoter of live jazz concerts in JazzLive in Tabor. George Mraz Quartet performed with George Mraz on base, Karel Ruzicka (piano), Rudolf Dasek (guitar) and Ivan Smazik (drums).

Press Release: Karel Koblizka (Jazz Live Tabor) had another blockbuster performance in Tabor. On September 24th, 2004. Karel invited George Mraz Quartet (G. Mraz, Karel Ruzicka, Rudolf Dasek and Ivan Smazik) to perform in his JAZZ LIVE Club in Tabor. It was George Mraz's 60th birthday and the jubileum was properly celebrated. 60th birthday celebrated also Ivan Smazik. George Mraz is soon leaving on a European Tour with well known jazzman from the USA, McCoy Tyner. George Mraz left Tabor with a promise ".....I'll be back".

Eva Emingerova, ktera vystoupila s Latin Trio (na snimku) v taborskem JAZZ LIVE Karla Koblizky dne 26.kvetna, 2004 - vystoupila 7.prosince v Jindrichove Hradci (Strelnice) a 8.prosince v Ceskych Budejovicich. Doporucejeme jeji skvele CDcko, "SOPHISTICATED LADY" a tesime se na jeji vystoupeni opet v Tabore.

In 1989, a new hotel, the Guest Quarters Suites (now DoubleTree Guest Suites) opened a venue appealing to jazz aficionados visiting this Massachusets metropolis. Jazz vocalist Rebecca Parris launched it and national jazz greats then followed. The "Scullers Jazz Club" was off and running. Who's who of jazz of all flavors, Brazilian, Latin, r&b and blues like Bobby Short, Ivan Lins, Joshua Rodman, Nancy Wilson, Gato Barbieri, Manhattans and many others played "Scullers" in its fifteen years of success. The 8th Annual "Gene Harris Jazz Festival" will be taking place April 7-9, 2005 at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. Gene Harris, "The Blues Man from Boise" died at the start of the new millennium, but he left a legacy of music that will outlive us all. Gene Harris led his soul jazz trio "The Three Sounds" from the late '50s to the late '70s. Persuaded by bassist Ray Brown to travel again, Gene Harris joined the Ray Brown Trio in the early '80s before forming his own group, "The Gene Harris Quartet". Starring in Boise at the Gene Harris 2005 Jazz Festival will be The Ramsey Lewis Trio and many others....

Autor techto jazzovych stranek, puvodem z Tabora a od roku 68 zijici ve Spojenych Statech je Frank (Piga) Janda. Na nasledujicim snimku je zachycen pred "mnoha" lety v jazzovem klubu v Atlante ve state Georgia na jihu Spojenych Statu. Na snimku s nim u stolu sedi jazzove zpevacky, ktere po svych vystoupenich v jinych klubech Atlanty, zastavily ve 2. hod. rano se jeste trochu pobavit. Byl to nezapomenutelny zazitek. 2005 CHICAGO BLUES REUNION TOUR under the banner "Buried Alive in the Blues" is hitting major cities in the United States. Frank Janda was lucky to be in Venice/Santa Monica, California when "Chicago Blues Reunion" was featured on the famous Santa Monica Pier on the shore of Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica on 23rd July, 2005. Featured were Chicago Blues greats Barry Goldberg, Nick Gravenites, Harvey Mandel, Tracy Nelson, Sam Ley and Corky Siegel.
